with this object seek the truth, and, having shown you the way of truth, He will enlighten your heart that you may apprehend it. Then you will perceive how true are the two great doctrines which in these pages we are about to state and set forth, and, having recognized the true rank and dignity of the Lord Jesus Christ, you will believe in Him with all your heart and thus obtain eternal salvation.

CHAPTER I

IN PROOF OF THE DEITY OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST

THIS chapter will be divided into three sections. In the first section we shall state and prove the Deity (ألوهيّة) of the Lord Jesus Christ from His own words and teaching; in the second section we shall quote other passages from the New Testament, that is to say the testimony of the Apostles (ألحواريون), in support of the same doctrine; and in the third section we shall adduce proof that the Old Testament also clearly indicates the Deity of the promised Messiah.

SECTION I

THE DEITY OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST PROVED FROM HIS OWN WORDS
