Osama Abdallah's reaction to

Muhammad's False Prophecies

[Part 2]

Sam Shamoun

[Read first Part 1]

Osama continues:

The predictions of a Prophet appearing with a host of "ten thousand saints" are repeated in the New Testament.

RESPONSE:

As we have already documented, there is no prediction of "ten THOUSAND saints" in Deuteronomy 33:2. Rather, it refers to God coming with ten THOUSANDS of his saints, i.e. the myriads of angels that accompanied God in the giving of his law to Israel.

Osama claims:

In Jude 1:14-15, Jude writes of a then-unfulfilled prophecy by Enoch [Idris in the Arabic, see Quran, 19:56-57]:

It was also about these that Enoch, in the seventh generation from
Adam prophesied, saying, "See, the Lord came with ten thousands
of his saints, to execute judgment on all, and to convict everyone of
all the deeds of ungodliness that they have committed
in such an ungodly way, and of all the harsh things which
ungodly sinners have spoken against him."

Bible (The New Revised Standard Version), Jude 1:14-15, emphasis added.

This prophecy of Enoch clearly refers to the Holy Prophet [pbuh] for the following reasons:

RESPONSE:

As we shall shortly see, this refers to the Lord Jesus' second coming where he will descend in great power and majesty with his holy angels and saints.

OSAMA:

        1. Only the Prophet Muhammad [pbuh] had ten thousand
saints with him. We have shown elsewhere that these saints accompanied
the Prophet [pbuh] at the conquest of Makka.

RESPONSE:

Since neither passage speak of ten THOUSAND saints, but rather refers to ten THOUSANDS or MYRIADS of holy ones, this could not possibly be referring to ten thousand Muslims soldiers.

OSAMA:

        2. The Holy Prophet [pbuh] executed judgment upon all the
unbelievers at the conquest of Makka and convinced ungodly Makkans
        of their ungodly deeds.

RESPONSE:

Muhammad must not have done a very good job since shortly after his death, most of the people who converted to Islam turned back. It took Abu Bakr to bring them back by the sword:

Narrated Abu Huraira:
When Allah’s Apostle died and Abu Bakr became the caliph some Arabs renegade (reverted to disbelief) (Abu Bakr decided to declare war against them), ‘Umar, said to Abu Bakr, "How can you fight with these people although Allah’s Apostle said, ‘I have been ordered (by Allah) to fight the people till they say: "None has the right to be worshipped but Allah, and whoever said it then he will save his life and property from me except on trespassing the law (rights and conditions for which he will be punished justly), and his accounts will be with Allah."’" Abu Bakr said, "By Allah! I will fight those who differentiate between the prayer and the Zakat as Zakat is the compulsory right to be taken from the property (according to Allah's orders) By Allah! If they refuse to pay me even a she-kid which they used to pay at the time of Allah’s Apostle. I would fight with them for withholding it." Then ‘Umar said, "By Allah, it was nothing, but Allah opened Abu Bakr’s chest towards the decision (to fight) and I came to know that his decision was right." (Sahih Al-Bukhari, Volume 2, Book 23, Number 483)

Narrated Abu Huraira:
When Allah’s Apostle died and Abu Bakr was elected as a Caliph after him, some of the Arabs reverted to disbelief, ‘Umar said to Abu Bakr, "How dare you fight the people while Allah’s Apostle said, I have been ordered to fight the people till they say "None has the right to be worshipped but Allah." And whoever says: "None has the right to be worshipped but Allah," saves his wealth and his life from me unless he deserves a legal punishment justly, and his account will be with Allah!’" Abu Bakr said, "By Allah, I will fight him who discriminates between Zakat and prayers, for Zakat is the compulsory right to be taken from the wealth. By Allah, if they refuse to give me even a tying rope which they use to give to Allah’s Apostle, I would fight them for withholding it." ‘Umar said, "By Allah, It was nothing, except I saw that Allah had opened the chest of Abu Bakr to the fight, and I came to know for certain that was the truth." (Sahih Al-Bukhari, Volume 9, Book 92, Number 388)

OSAMA:

        3. The Christians kept waiting for the coming of the Lord
even after Christ had come, for this epistle of Jude was written long
after Christ and the Christians knew that it referred to come other
personage who, from the time of the Prophet Enoch up to the time
of Christ, had not appeared. The prophecy was therefore clearly for
the Prophet Muhammad [pbuh] and for none else.

"Muhammad In World Scriptures," supra, at p. 24.

RESPONSE:

The author is deceiving his readers with his false claim that Christians were waiting for another Lord to come after Christ. Let us look at the context of Jude to see who the Lord actually is:

"Jude, A SERVANT OF JESUS CHRIST and a brother of James, to those who have been called, who are loved by God the Father and kept by Jesus Christ:" Jude 1:1

Jude says he is a servant/slave of Jesus Christ and that Christ keeps believers secure.

"For certain men whose condemnation was written about long ago have secretly slipped in among you. They are godless men, who change the grace of our God into a license for immorality and deny Jesus Christ OUR ONLY SOVEREIGN AND LORD. Though you already know all this, I want to remind you that the Lord delivered his people out of Egypt, but later destroyed those who did not believe." Jude 1:4-5

Interestingly, not only is Jesus our only Lord but the context implies that the Lord that delivered Israel is actually Jesus. This can be seen from the fact that early MSS of Jude read "Jesus" in place of Lord in verse 5. Furthermore, elsewhere in the NT we are specifically told that Christ was present with Israel during the Exodus:

"For I do not want you to be ignorant of the fact, brothers, that our forefathers were all under the cloud and that they all passed through the sea. They were all baptized into Moses in the cloud and in the sea. They all ate the same spiritual food and drank the same spiritual drink; for they drank from the spiritual rock that accompanied them, and that rock was Christ. Nevertheless, God was not pleased with most of them; their bodies were scattered over the desert." 1 Corinthians 10:1-5

"By faith Moses, when he had grown up, refused to be known as the son of Pharaoh’s daughter. He chose to be mistreated along with the people of God rather than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a short time. He regarded disgrace for the sake of Christ as of greater value than the treasures of Egypt, because he was looking ahead to his reward." Hebrews 11:24-26

Continuing further in Jude:

"Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied about these men: ‘See, the Lord is coming with thousands upon thousands of his holy ones to judge everyone, and to convict all the ungodly of all the ungodly acts they have done in the ungodly way, and of all the harsh words ungodly sinners have spoken against him.’ These men are grumblers and faultfinders; they follow their own evil desires; they boast about themselves and flatter others for their own advantage. But, dear friends, remember what the apostles OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST foretold ... But you, dear friends, build yourselves up in your most holy faith and pray in the Holy Spirit. Keep yourselves in God’s love AS YOU WAIT FOR THE MERCY OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST to bring you to eternal life." Jude 1:14-17, 20-21

According to this section the Lord that is coming will judge everyone. Two verses later Jude refers to the Lord Jesus and then in verse 21 Jude mentions the mercy of the Lord Jesus Christ that brings eternal life to all believers. Verses 20-21 also mention the work of the blessed and holy Trinity in the life of the believers. Jude then concludes:

"To him who is able to keep you from falling and to present you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy - to the only God our Savior be glory, majesty, power and authority, THROUGH JESUS CHRIST OUR LORD, before all ages, now and forevermore! Amen." Jude 1:24-25

This epistle is thoroughly orthodox in nature, and clearly establishes that the Lord who is coming with his holy ones is none other than the Lord Jesus Christ. We will provide additional evidence below to support this.

OSAMA:

Because of the clarity of this prophecy, many of the English translations of the Bible purposely obscure it, by omitting the number reference to "ten thousand" or by claiming that the prophet announced was accompanied by "angels" rather than "saints" or "holy ones." See New Living Testament, Todays English Version, Douay, and New American Standard.

However, the King James and New Revised Standard Version translate the passage in Jude 1:14 as referring to "ten thousands of his saints" (King James) or "ten thousands of his holy ones" (New Revised Standard).

An examination of the original Greek supports the latter interpretation:

The word translated "ten thousand" is murias, which in Greek usually means "ten thousand," though it may also mean "an innumerable multitude" or :innumerable hosts." Strongs Concordance, No. 3461.

RESPONSE:

As is his habit, Osama consistently mistranslates the Holy Bible and in so doing, obscures the true meaning of the text. He claims that murias means ten thousand, whereas the word used in Jude is muriasin and is plural. This literally means ten THOUSANDS, MYRIADS or INNUMERABLE HOSTS.

Note the following translations:

Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied about these men: "See, the Lord is coming with THOUSANDS UPON THOUSANDS of his holy ones" NIV

It was of these people, moreover, that Enoch in the seventh [generation] from Adam prophesied when he said, Behold, the Lord comes with His MYRIADS of holy ones (ten THOUSANDS of His saints) Amplified Bible

And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten THOUSANDS of his saints, KJV

Now Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied about these men also, saying, "Behold, the Lord comes with ten THOUSANDS of His saints," NKJV

And to these also Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied, saying, Behold, the Lord came with ten THOUSANDS of his holy ones, ASV

And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten THOUSANDS of his saints, Webster’s Bible

The prophet Enoch, who was the seventh after Adam, said of these men, The Lord came with tens of THOUSANDS of his saints, The Bible in Basic English

It was also about these men that Enoch, in the seventh generation from Adam, prophesied, saying, "Behold, the Lord came with MANY THOUSANDS of His holy ones," NASB

Enoch, the seventh descendant from Adam, said about these people: "Look, the Lord is coming with MANY THOUSANDS of his holy angels to" NCV

Enoch was the seventh in Adam's family line. He spoke words from God to these men also. He said, `Listen! The Lord came with MANY THOUSANDS of his angels. World English

It was Enoch, the seventh direct descendant from Adam, who long ago prophesied this about them: "The Lord will come with MANY THOUSANDS of his holy angels TEV

Furthermore, Enoch, from the seventh generation after Adam, prophesied about them. He said, "The Lord has come with COUNTLESS THOUSANDS of his holy angels." GOD’S WORD

Now of these Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied, saying: Behold, the Lord cometh with THOUSANDS of his saints: DOUAY-RHEIMS

Now Enoch, who lived seven generations after Adam, prophesied about these people. He said, "Look, the Lord is coming with THOUSANDS of his holy ones. NLV

It was of these also that Enoch in the seventh generation from Adam prophesied, saying, "Behold, the Lord came with his holy MYRIADS, RSV

It was also about these that Enoch, who belonged to the seventh generation from Adam, prophesied, saying, "The Lord has come, attended by MYRIADS of His people, to execute judgement upon all, Wesley’s New Testament

And prophesy also to these did the seventh from Adam -- Enoch -- saying, `Lo, the Lord did come in His saintly MYRIADS, YLT

And Enoch, [the] seventh from Adam, prophesied also as to these, saying, Behold, [the] Lord has come amidst his holy MYRIADS, DARBY

The only translation that translates it in the singular is the Third Millennium Bible:

"And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, ‘Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousand of His saints.’"

This is obviously incorrect in light of it being plural. Osama is seemingly aware of his mistranslation and tries to cover up by admitting that murias can also mean "an innumerable number" or "innumerable hosts". This demonstrates Osama's deliberate and deceptive misquoting of the Holy Bible to suit his purposes.

Furthermore, notice how the word is used in Hebrews 12:22:

"But you have come to Mount Zion, to the heavenly Jerusalem, the city of the living God. You have come to thousands upon thousands (muriasin) of angels in joyful assembly," NIV

"But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, to an innumerable company of angels," NKJV

"But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to myriads of angels," NASB

The word is used elsewhere in reference to angels:

"Then I looked and heard the voice of many angels, numbering thousands upon thousands (muriades muriadon), and ten thousand times ten thousand. They encircled the throne and the living creatures and the elders." Revelation 5:11

OSAMA:

The word mistranslated in Todays English Version as "angels" is hagios which means in Greek "most holy thing" or "saint," not "angel." Strongs Concordance, No. 40.

RESPONSE:

We have already shown that the word hagios can refer to angels. We now present the evidence demonstrating that the Lord that is coming with his myriads is the Lord Jesus Christ.

Our first evidence comes from the OT itself. The prophet Zechariah states that God himself is going to descend on the Mount of Olives with his saints:

"A day of the LORD is coming when your plunder will be divided among you. I will gather all the nations to Jerusalem to fight against it; the city will be captured, the houses ransacked, and the women raped. Half of the city will go into exile, but the rest of the people will not be taken from the city. Then the LORD will go out and fight against those nations, as he fights in the day of battle. On that day HIS FEET WILL STAND ON THE MOUNT OF OLIVES, east of Jerusalem, and the Mount of Olives will be split in two from east to west, forming a great valley, with half of the mountain moving north and half moving south. You will flee by my mountain valley, for it will extend to Azel. You will flee as you fled from the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah. THEN THE LORD MY GOD WILL COME, AND ALL THE HOLY ONES WITH HIM." Zechariah 14:1-5

Amazingly, the NT indicates that the God who is to descend on the Mount of Olives is none other than the God-man, the incarnate Deity, our Lord Jesus Christ himself:

"After he said this, he was taken up before their very eyes, and a cloud hid him from their sight. They were looking intently up into the sky as he was going, when suddenly two men dressed in white stood beside them. ‘Men of Galilee,’ they said, ‘why do you stand here looking into the sky? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven.’ Then they returned to Jerusalem from the hill called THE MOUNT OF OLIVES, a Sabbath day’s walk from the city." Acts 1:9-12

"When the Son of Man comes in his glory, AND ALL THE ANGELS WITH HIM, he will sit on his throne in heavenly glory. All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left." Matthew 25:31-33

"If anyone is ashamed of me and my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of Man will be ashamed of him when he comes in his Father’s glory with the holy angels." Mark 8:38

"At that time men will see the Son of Man coming in clouds with great power and glory. And he will send HIS ANGELS and gather HIS ELECT from the four winds, from the ends of the earth to the ends of the heavens." Mark 13:26-27

"But Jesus remained silent and gave no answer. Again the high priest asked him, ‘Are you the Christ, the Son of the Blessed One?’ ‘I am,’ said Jesus. ‘And you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Mighty One and coming on the clouds of heaven.’" Mark 14:61-62

"If anyone does not love the Lord - a curse be on him. Come, O Lord! The grace of the Lord Jesus be with you." 1 Corinthians 16:22-23

"But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, who, by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body." Philippians 3:20-21

"May he strengthen your hearts so that you will be blameless and holy in the presence of our God and Father WHEN OUR LORD JESUS COMES WITH ALL HIS HOLY ONES." 1 Thessalonians 3:13

"This is a plain indication of God's righteous judgment so that you will be considered worthy of the kingdom of God, for which indeed you are suffering. For after all it is only just for God to repay with affliction those who afflict you, and to give relief to you who are afflicted and to us as well when THE LORD JESUS will be revealed from heaven with His MIGHTY ANGELS in flaming fire, dealing out retribution to those who do not know God and to those who do not obey the gospel of OUR LORD JESUS. These will pay the penalty of eternal destruction, away from the presence of THE LORD and from the glory of His power, when He comes to be glorified in His SAINTS on that day, and to be marveled at among all who have believed for our testimony to you was believed." 2 Thessalonians 1:5-10 NASB

"while we wait for the blessed hope - the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ," Titus 2:13

"I saw heaven standing open and there before me was a white horse, whose rider is called Faithful and True. With justice he judges and makes war. His eyes are like blazing fire, and on his head are many crowns. He has a name written on him that no one knows but he himself. He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and his name is the Word of God. The armies of heaven were following him, riding on white horses and dressed in fine linen, white and clean. Out of his mouth comes a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations. ‘He will rule them with an iron scepter.’ He treads the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God Almighty. On his robe and on his thigh he has this name written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS." Revelation 19:11-16

That this is Jesus can be seen from his title, the Word of God (cf. John 1:1-2, 14) and from the following verse:

"They will make war against the Lamb, but the Lamb will overcome them because he is Lord of lords and King of kings - and with him will be his called, chosen and faithful followers." Revelation 17:14

Furthermore, it is the consistent teaching of the NT that the Lord Jesus will judge the world:

"Moreover, the Father judges no one, but has entrusted all judgment to the Son, that all may honor the Son just as they honor the Father. He who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father, who sent him. And he has given him authority to judge because he is the Son of Man." John 5:22-23, 27

"You know the message God sent to the people of Israel, telling the good news of peace through Jesus Christ, who is Lord of all. You know what has happened throughout Judea, beginning in Galilee after the baptism that John preached-how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and power, and how he went around doing good and healing all who were under the power of the devil, because God was with him. We are witnesses of everything he did in the country of the Jews and in Jerusalem. They killed him by hanging him on a tree, but God raised him from the dead on the third day and caused him to be seen. He was not seen by all the people, but by witnesses whom God had already chosen-by us who ate and drank with him after he rose from the dead. He commanded us to preach to the people and to testify that he is the one whom God appointed as judge of the living and the dead. All the prophets testify about him that everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of sins through his name.’" Acts 10:36-43

"In the past God overlooked such ignorance, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent. For he has set a day when he will judge the world with justice by the man he has appointed. He has given proof of this to all men by raising him from the dead." Acts 17:30-31

"But because of your stubbornness and your unrepentant heart, you are storing up wrath against yourself for the day of God's wrath, when his righteous judgment will be revealed. God ‘will give to each person according to what he has done’ ... This will take place on the day when God will judge men's secrets through Jesus Christ, as my gospel declares." Romans 2:5-6, 16

"Therefore you do not lack any spiritual gift as you eagerly wait for our Lord Jesus Christ to be revealed. He will keep you strong to the end, so that you will be blameless on the day of our Lord Jesus Christ." 1 Corinthians 1:7-8

"Therefore judge nothing before the appointed time; wait till the Lord comes. He will bring to light what is hidden in darkness and will expose the motives of men's hearts. At that time each will receive his praise from God." 1 Corinthians 4:5

"For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive what is due him for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad." 2 Corinthians 5:10

"for they themselves report what kind of reception you gave us. They tell how you turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God, and to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead-Jesus, who rescues us from the coming wrath." 1 Thessalonians 1:9-10

"In the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who will judge the living and the dead, and in view of his appearing and his kingdom, I give you this charge:" 2 Timothy 4:1

"For I am already being poured out like a drink offering, and the time has come for my departure. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day - and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing." 2 Timothy 4:6-8

"To the angel of the church in Thyatira write: These are the words of the Son of God, whose eyes are like blazing fire and whose feet are like burnished bronze. I know your deeds, your love and faith, your service and perseverance, and that you are now doing more than you did at first ... I will strike her children dead. Then all the churches will know that I am he who searches hearts and minds, and I will repay each of you according to your deeds." Revelation 2:18-19, 23

"‘Behold, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to everyone according to what he has done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End ... I, Jesus, have sent my angel to give you this testimony for the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, and the bright Morning Star’ ... He who testifies to these things says, ‘Yes, I am coming soon.’ Amen. Come, Lord Jesus. The grace of the Lord Jesus be with God's people. Amen." Revelation 22:12-13, 16, 20-21

The preceding factors thoroughly refute any attempt of viewing Jude 1:14-15 as a prophecy of Muhammad.

OSAMA:

Once we get past the deliberate mistranslations of Deuteronomy 33:2 and Jude 1:14-15, we find that these prophecies not only refer unequivocally to the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), but that they are corroborative of the much-discussed prophecy in Song of Songs, 5:10-16.

RESPONSE:

We have conclusively demonstrated that neither passage refers to Muhammad. Osama now seeks to wrench Song of Songs out of its context in the hopes of legitimizing the claims of his false prophet in the minds of his readers.

OSAMA:

According to the well-researched work of Mohd Elfi Nieshaem Juferi and Maulana Abdul Haq Vidyarthi, the original Hebrew version of Song of Songs 5:16, if correctly translated, predicts the coming of Muhammad (pbuh) by name:

His mouth is most: yea, he is MUHAMMAD. This is my
(paternal) UNCLE, and this is my COMRADE, O daughters
        of Jerusalem.

"Muhammad [pbuh] In the Bible," supra, http://members.xoox.com_XMCM/lordxarkun/Islam/songs5_10-16.html, emphasis in original; see also "Muhammad In World Scriptures," supra, at pp. 100-111.

RESPONSE:

Instead of dealing with the deliberate mistranslation and deceptive misquoting of the passage in question, we will defer the discussion to a future time when the debate between Shibi Zaman and Andy Bannister will be posted on line for all to read. Shibli is the source from which Osama and MENJ have taken their fallacious misinterpretation. Andy Bannister was able to sufficiently expose Shibli's gross ignorance of biblical Hebrew as well as his abuse and misuse of scholarly sources.

Osama concludes:

Significantly, in Song of Songs 5:10, this same prophet - expressly identified in the Hebrew as "Muhammad," is described as being "the chiefest among ten thousands" (ibid., emphasis added) (King James Version).

This reference to the "ten thousands" indicates that the Prophet referred to must be the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh)!

RESPONSE:

Let us break down Osama's erroneous assumptions:

Osama assumes that Muhammad is a prophet.

Osama assumes that the Holy Bible predicts Muhammad.

Osama assumes that the reference to ten thousands of saints refers to Muhammad and his army.

Yet Osama has been unable to provide any sound exegetical evidence to support his assumptions. The evidence clearly shows that neither Deuteronomy 33:2 nor Jude 1:14-15 refer to Muhammad or his army.

Furthermore, Osama has not read the text carefully. Unlike Deuteronomy 33:2 where we find the plural ribboth, Song of Solomon 5:10 uses the singular rebabah. The context is also completely different:

Lover
I have come into my garden, my sister, my bride; I have gathered my myrrh with my spice. I have eaten my honeycomb and my honey; I have drunk my wine and my milk.

Friends
Eat, O friends, and drink; drink your fill, O lovers.

Beloved
I slept but my heart was awake. Listen! My lover is knocking: "Open to me, my sister, my darling, my dove, my flawless one. My head is drenched with dew, my hair with the dampness of the night." I have taken off my robe - must I put it on again? I have washed my feet - must I soil them again? My lover thrust his hand through the latch-opening; my heart began to pound for him. I arose to open for my lover, and my hands dripped with myrrh, my fingers with flowing myrrh, on the handles of the lock. I opened for my lover, but my lover had left; he was gone. My heart sank at his departure. I looked for him but did not find him. I called him but he did not answer. The watchmen found me as they made their rounds in the city. They beat me, they bruised me; they took away my cloak, those watchmen of the walls! O daughters of Jerusalem, I charge you-if you find my lover, what will you tell him? Tell him I am faint with love.

Friends
How is your beloved better than others, most beautiful of women? How is your beloved better than others, that you charge us so?

Beloved
My lover is radiant and ruddy, outstanding among ten thousand. His head is purest gold; his hair is wavy and black as a raven. His eyes are like doves by the water streams, washed in milk, mounted like jewels. His cheeks are like beds of spice yielding perfume. His lips are like lilies dripping with myrrh. His arms are rods of gold set with chrysolite. His body is like polished ivory decorated with sapphires. His legs are pillars of marble set on bases of pure gold. His appearance is like Lebanon, choice as its cedars. His mouth is sweetness itself; he is altogether lovely. This is my lover, this my friend, O daughters of Jerusalem. Song of Solomon 5:1-16

Interestingly, verbal parallels exist between Revelation 3:20 with the LXX version of Song of Solomon 5:2. G.K. Beale in his The New International Greek Testament Commentary- The Book of Revelation, noted:

... Christ now invites the readers to renew the fellowship they have been claiming to enjoy but in reality have nearly lost. The first part of the invitation is cast in metaphorical form, probably in dependence on Cant. 5:2:

Cant. 5:2

"the voice of my beloved, he knocks on the door. Open to me, my beloved" (phone adelphidou mou, krouei epi thuran. Anoixon moi, adelphe mou).

Rev. 3:20

"I stand at the door and knock; if anyone should hear my voice and open the door, I will come in to him." (esteka epi ten thuran kai krouo ean tis akouse tes phones mou kai anoixe ten thuran).

This is an invitation not for the readers to be converted but to renew themselves in a relationship with Christ that has already begun, is apparent from v. 19. Of course it is always possible that some in the readership professed to know Christ, but really never had; for them the call would be to make their profession genuine. The allusions to Cant. 5:2 points to a focus on renewal of a relationship since there the husband knocks on the door of the bedchamber to encourage his wife to continue to express her love to him and let him enter, but she at first hesitates to do so. By analogy, Christ, the husband, is doing the same thing with regard to his bride, the church. Similarly, some Jewish commentators understood ‘open to me’ in Cant. 5:2 as a call for Israel's repentance within the purported context of a covenant relationship with God (Midr. Rab. Exod. 33:3; Midr. Rab. Cant. 5:2 &2, Pesikta de Rab Kahana 24:12; Pesikta Rabbati 15:6). (Beale, Wm. B. Eerdmans Publishing Co. & Paternoster Press, 1999, p. 308; bold italic ours)

Allegorizing the Song as a picture of God and Israel or of Christ and the Church makes sense, but applying it Muhammad doesn't. Since Israel and the Church are pictured as the spiritual brides of God and Christ respectively, one can see how the Song's depiction of the intense love between Solomon and his bride prefigures the love of God and Christ for their people. Yet, unless Osama wants to claim that Muslims are the spiritual bride of Muhammad, or worse yet, the bride of Allah, applying these verses to Muhammad makes absolutely no sense on either the literal or allegorical level.

It therefore becomes evident that Song of Solomon has absolutely no connection whatsoever to either Deuteronomy 33:2 or Jude 1:14-15, nor to Muhammad. This only highlights Osama's desperate attempts to find some type of evidence vindicating his false prophet's false prophecies.

Finally, mention needs to be made of Osama's hypocrisy. In his other writings, Osama attacks the Song of Solomon as pornography:

Comparing the sister's breasts to the size of the towers: Let us look at the following verses: "We have a young sister, and her breasts are not yet grown. What shall we do for our sister for the day she is spoken for? (Song of Songs 8:8)" and later about the sister..... "I am a wall, and my breasts are like towers. Thus I have become in his eyes like one bringing contentment. (Song of Songs 8:10)"

Let us look at Song of Songs 4:5 "Your two breasts are like two fawns, like twin fawns of a gazelle that browse among the lilies."

Let us look at Proverbs 5:19 "A loving doe, a graceful deer, may her breasts satisfy you always, may you ever be captivated by her love."  Could it be meant to say "may her breasts sexually satisfy you"?

Let us look at Song of Songs 1:13 "My lover is to me a sachet of myrrh resting between my breasts."

Praising the bed that they had sex on:   Let us look at Song of Songs 1:16 "How handsome you are, my lover! Oh, how charming! And our bed is verdant"

Having sex all night long: Let us look at Proverbs 7:18 "Come, let's drink deep of love till morning; let's enjoy ourselves with love!"

Let us look at Song of Songs 1:2-4 "Let him kiss me with the kisses of his mouth-- for your love is more delightful than wine.   Pleasing is the fragrance of your perfumes; your name is like perfume poured out. No wonder the maidens love you!  Take me away with you--let us hurry! Let the king bring me into his chambers. We rejoice and delight in you; we will praise your love more than wine. How right they are to adore you! "  I don't think this would be appropriate for a kid under 18 to read.  Also, I don't think it is appropriate to have such open sexuality in a divine book anyway.

His right arm sexually feeling her body: Let us look at Song of Songs 2:6 "His left arm is under my head, and his right arm embraces me."

Let us look at Song of Songs 3:4 "Scarcely had I passed them when I found the one my heart loves. I held him and would not let him go till I had brought him to my mother's house, to the room of the one who conceived me."  So in other words, she was not married to him, and when she found him, she took him back to her bed room to have illegal sex with him?  If she were married to him, she wouldn't take him to her "mother's house".  She would take him to their house.

Let us look at Song of Songs 3:10 "Its posts he made of silver, its base of gold. Its seat was upholstered with purple, its interior lovingly inlaid by the daughters of Jerusalem." Why does the Bible teach young men to spend all of their time and effort to try to impress all of the girls in their town so they can possibly end in bed with them? (Source)

Yet Osama does not hesitate to use such "pornography" to prove that his false prophet was predicted. If it is true that Song of Solomon predicts the coming of Muhammad, then Osama has attacked the true God's character by slandering his inspired revelation, a revelation Osama has unsuccessfully used to prove that his false prophet is legitimate! Talk about hypocrisy!

If Osama's assertions regarding the charge of pornography and alleged predictions are correct (which obviously they are not) this would imply that his prophet is the focus of a porn book, making him a porn star.

For a thorough refutation of Osama's slanderous attacks we highly recommend the following links: [1], [2], [3], [4], [5].

This concludes this part of the rebuttal. Continue with Part 3.
