The One True God (who was worshipped by Abraham, Moses and Jesus)

Most people realise that there is only one true God. Throughout history, this one true God has appointed many good men to tell others about Him so that humans everywhere may turn away from false gods and worship Him alone. Abraham, Moses, and Jesus (peace be upon them) all spoke about this one God and worshipped Him alone. In the Gospel According to Matthew, 26:39 (King James Version) we are told that Jesus "fell on his face, and prayed" to God.

We should also read the entire Chapter, especially verses 63-65:

But Jesus remained silent. The high priest said to him, "I charge you under oath by the living God: Tell us if you are the Christ, the Son of God." "Yes, it is as you say," Jesus replied. "But I say to all of you: In the future you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Mighty One and coming on the clouds of heaven." Then the high priest tore his clothes and said, "He has spoken blasphemy! Why do we need any more witnesses? Look, now you have heard the blasphemy.

And in the Gospel According to John, 17:3, Jesus declares that the one he prayed to is the only true God.

Let's look at this passage (John 17:1-5):

After Jesus said this, he looked toward heaven and prayed: "Father, the time has come. Glorify your Son, that your Son may glorify you. For you granted him authority over all people that he might give eternal life to all those you have given him. Now this is eternal life: that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent. I have brought you glory on earth by completing the work you gave me to do. And now, Father, glorify me in your presence with the glory I had with you before the world began.

These passages, when read in context, do not agree with the teachings of the Qur'an.

This very God speaks to us in these last days in His final Scripture which He will safeguard from corruption. God announces in His book good news to all those who believe in Him and do right. He says: Surely those who say, 'Our Lord is Allah,' and afterward are upright, the angels descend upon them, saying: Fear not nor grieve, but hear good tidings of the Paradise which you are promised. We are your protecting friends in the life of the world and in the Hereafter. There you will have (all) that your souls desire, and there you will have (all) for which you pray. A gift of welcome from the Forgiving, the Merciful. (Qur'an 41:30-32)

There are several problems with this passage:

1. How do we know that the Qur'an is from God? The Qur'an contradicts many essential teachings of the Bible, yet the Qur'an also upholds the integrity of the Bible.

2. If we assume that the Old and New Testaments are corrupted [the Qur'an does not make this claim], then how can we trust the Qur'an [assuming it is the word of God]? In other words, if an All Powerful God could not prevent the "corruption" of His earlier revelations, how can He protect the Qur'an?

3. In the passage that you gave us, it appears that All Mighty God is attempting to "entice" me to follow Muhammad with the promise of "paradise" and "all that my soul desires". This sounds more like another self-serving "revelation" from Muhammad, to attract followers, than the words of God - who calls us to righteousness!

Those who believe and do good works and believe in that which is revealed unto Muhammad - and it is the truth from your Lord - He rids them of their ill-deeds and improves their condition. That is because those who disbelieve follow falsehood and because those who believe follow the truth from their Lord. (Qur'an 47:2)

The Bible says:

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith - and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God - (Ephesians 2:8)

Only Jesus can cleanse us of our sins, we cannot purify ourselves.

Accept this invitation, therefore, and enjoy a life of peace and satisfaction on earth, then everlasting life in God's Paradise. The true scripture promises all this to those who choose no other god except the one true God who was worshipped by Abraham, Moses, Jesus, and Muhammad (peace be upon them). The truth has now come to you from your Lord! Won't you accept it?

I believe in the God of Abraham, His Prophets, and His Son Jesus Christ. I accept the Bible as the inspired word of God and I accept Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. Through Jesus, I have found my salvation as well as peace in this life, and the next life. I have also studied and meditated on the message of the Qur'an and found that it did not provide me with any assurance of my salvation, nor did it show me any proof that it was from God.
