too, like all those thousands and tens of thousands of persons who have been saved through the Lord Jesus, will, both in this world and in the next, praise and glorify God for ever and ever.

But if—which God forbid—you despise and contemn this way of salvation and this means of obtaining life eternal, and through unbelief pass them by, then it is impossible for you ever to reach the goal of everlasting bliss at which you are aiming. Everyone who thus rejects God's mercy offered to all in Christ as a free gift ¹ must remain immersed in the quagmire of sin and enthralled in the bondage of Satan. Upon such a man the wrath ² of God Most High must ultimately fall, if he persists in his pride and hardness ³ of heart. For it is written in the holy Scriptures concerning the Lord Jesus that: 'In ⁴ none other is there salvation: for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, wherein we must be saved: And again the Gospel says: 'He ⁵ that believeth on the Son hath eternal life: but he that obeyeth not the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abideth on him.'

My earnest prayer for you, my brother, is that the gracious and merciful God, of His great mercy, would deliver you from all unbelief and guide you unto that true and steadfast faith in the Lord Jesus Christ by means of which you may now and ever
